Masjid Renovation, Burnley

Project ID: P0011

Organisation: Masjid Abu Bakr, Burnley

Aim: The current mosque building for Abu Bakr masjid has been standing for approximately 2 centuries.

Having previously been used as a cinema and bingo hall, before being purchased to be used as a masjid for the Muslims in the local community, the building has gone through a lot of reshaping and restructuring. Due to this the current standing of the walls are in a weak and undesirable state.

The committee has decided to renovate and rebuild the walls to strengthen the masjid structure. This is likely to cost in the region of £20,000 - £30,000.
